I am in charge of policy writing and implementation, as well as coordinating safety training, and conducting work site inspections.
What do you like most about being a member of the ASSP Greater Tidewater Chapter
Having only been a member for a short while what I enjoy most is the knowledge and provided support from the chapters members.
What or Who inspires you
I have always been inspired by my Dad who was a boilermaker. He taught me how to work hard for the things that I want.
What tips or advice would you give someone just starting out in the safety field
Be humble and take in as much knowledge as possible from those with more experience than you in the field of safety, as well as the employees that you are trying to keep safe.
Tell us about a professional success story that you are proud of
I fully took over the safety program for my company in January 2024, and since then I have created an
entire safety program from the ground up, implemented a training program and put together certification files for all my fellow employees as well as myself with no real prior knowledge. I have also recently enrolled back in college to further my own knowledge in Safety.
What is something surprising that not many people know about you
I was upset upon my eleventh birthday that I did not receive my Hogwarts letter.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work
Playing video games.
What is your most embarrassing moment of your life (so far)
I had to pay my 6-year-old nephew off when I accidentally cursed in front of him so he wouldn’t tell his mom.

Teleportation, so I can travel the world for free.
