Topic: Use the Energy Wheel to End the Game of Chance
The principles behind energy based safety, and the energy wheel, are that energy sources are all around us, every hazard is a result of an energy source, and there are ten total sources of energy. In this presentation, Mr. Woodward will demonstrate the ways in which he was able to incorporate energy-based safety into the pre-planning processes of a heavy civil and marine construction company. The presentation will provide an overview of energy-based safety, detail the most effective ways to integrate the energy wheel into training, at all levels, and demonstrate ways in which using this approach has improved hazard identification and control, for the members of his team.
